PURPOSE: A device for opening/closing a cover for a pressure kettle is provided to open/close the cover with a residual pressure discharged by operating an opening/closing valve to improve the safety in opening the cover of the pressure kettle. CONSTITUTION: A cover main body(2) is formed at the upper side to form a flat portion and a packing insertion(2b). Opening/closing handles(28) are installed at the center of an installing cover(25) assembled on the cover main body. An up/down valve(5) is inserted into a hole at the left side of the flat portion of the cover main body. A fixing valve(14) is installed at a hole at the right side of the flat portion of the cover main body. Seals(15) are respectively installed at both sides of the installing cover to move in a radial direction according to the operation of the handles so as to engage the outer peripheral portion of the cover main body.
