The unit for storing several CDs has a housing (1) extending in the horizontal direction. The housing has stands (4) at least at the two ends. Several container elements (6) are arranged next to each other along the horizontal axis, each for holding a CD. The container elements are pivotally mounted to pivot from a storage position within the housing to a removal position out of the housing.
