<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coloring device for an electric wire which can easily change a color to be colored at the wire and which can suppress a decrease in a yield and to provide an apparatus for manufacturing the electric wire. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for manufacturing the electric wire manufactures the wire 3 having a core wire and a coating part. The apparatus 1 comprises: a coloring device 12 for coloring an outer surface 5a of the wire 3. The device 12 includes a first coloring unit 2a and a second coloring unit 2b. The units 2a, 2b have a housing tank 20, a pump 23 and the like. The tank 20 has an opening 25 at an upper part and houses coloring materials Ba, Ra. The pump 23 injects the materials Ba, Ra upward into the tank 20 so that liquid surfaces Q of the materials Ba, Ra are convex upward. The materials Ba, Ra gush out upward from the opening 25.
