<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate an electromagnetic wave which exhibits a high output and a high frequency. <P>SOLUTION: The electromagnetic wave generator 100 is provided with a DC voltage generator 10, an MC-type explosive electric generator 20 for amplifying a current from the DC voltage generator 10, an energy build-up part 30 which is connected to the MC-type explosive electric generator 20 in series and builds up the amplified current as electric energy, a plasma switch 40 which is normally closed for letting pass the electric energy by the energy build-up part 30 and is opened by the application of control signals and generates high- voltage pulses, a gap switch which is normally open and is actuated when the voltage of the high-voltage pulses reaches a specified value for supplying a high-speed leading edge of pulse voltage waveform, a magnetron 60 which generates an electromagnetic wave when it is supplied with high-voltage pulses, an antenna 70 which is connected to the magnetron 60, and a controller 80 which supplies control signals at specified timing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
