PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store function setting information before altering the setting by lessening the load of a main unit required for functional processing. SOLUTION: The telephone device management system comprises a plurality of telephone devices 1, and a server 2 connected with the plurality of telephone devices 1 through an IP network 4. The server 2 comprises a means for storing the function setting information of the telephone device 1, and a means for acquiring information required for executing a functional processing corresponding to a request for retrieving the functional setting in the telephone device 1 from the function setting information and sending it back to the requesting telephone device 1 wherein the telephone device 1 has a control means executing the functional processing based on the information sent back from the server 2.
