<p>A force restraint system includes a transversely flanged beam (3), a restraint device (10) for mounting on the beam by embracing a flange (3A) of the beam transversely thereof and locking at a desired location thereon. An element (6A) engages the restraint device (10) at a predetermined location thereon such that the application of force via said element to the device at that location causes tilting and jamming of the device on the beam, thereby increasing the reactive effect of the device to movement longitudinally of the beam.</p> |
