The data handling method has control data for an automobile (1) obtained via a personal computer (3) and transferred to a portable minicomputer (2), for allowing the control data to be loaded in to the automobile onboard computer. Similarly the control data loaded in to the automobile onboard computer can be transferred via the portable minicomputer to the personal computer for updating etc, e.g. using information provided via the Internet (4). An Independent claim for a device for intermediate storage of automobile control data is also included. |
