<p>The invention concerns an in-flight method for compressing data supplied by a server (40) of a collective network such as Internet in response to a request from a consulting terminal (30), which consists in: providing a data compression module (20), and a redirection module (10) designed to receive data supplied by the server (40) and redirect them towards the compression module (20), said redirection module (10) being also designed to receive data from the compression module (20) and redirect them towards the consulting terminal (30). The method further consists in: examining in the request an indication concerning decompression aptitude of the terminal (30) and performing in the compression module (20), on the data requested by the request and supplied by the server (40) a compression adapted to the indications concerning decompression aptitude contained in the request.</p> |
