<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phenolic resin-based color developer which satisfies various required performances for color developers, hardly influences a human body and environment, can be produced at a comparatively low cost and is useful as a color developer for a heat-sensitive recording material. <P>SOLUTION: The phenolic resin-based color developer is manufactured by reacting a 2,6-dimethyl-p-substituted phenol with phenols, two ortho- and para- positions of which are non-substituted, and its phenol trinucleus body content is 35 to 85%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
