PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide exterior heat insulating structure for a building easily constructed with excellent heat insulating performance without causing dew condensation at the tip part or the like of a binding material with a heat bridge even in the case of applying an exterior heat insulating construction method to a metal framework. SOLUTION: A heat insulating panel 24 is arranged on the outdoor side A of a steel member 21 forming the framework. The heat insulating panel 24 is fixed to a stiffener 22 fitted to the steel member 21, with a binding material 25, and furring strips 27 are arranged on the outdoor side A holding the heat insulating panel 24 in between, and fixed to the stiffener 22 with a binding material 28. The heat insulating panel 24 is thereby mounted with the binding material 25 through the stiffener 22, and the furring strips 27 are mounted to the stiffener 22 with the binding material 28 to prevent the occurrence of dew condensation at the binding materials 25, 28 with a heat bridge and moreover to facilitate construction.
