PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a plastic film which prevents a local development of a charged pattern to be caused by corona discharge treatment, and is hard to cause cissing and loss of a coating film in the posttreatment of coating and deposition, and is hard to cause creases and blocking. SOLUTION: In the corona discharge treatment method by exposing the surface of a plastic film to corona discharge while bringing the plastic film into contact with a roll having a dielectric material layer on its surface, the surface potential of the above dielectric material layer is controlled.
