PURPOSE:To make an installing process efficient and improve an installing quality by using a jig for turning over the opening end part of a boot in a method of assembling a rubber, bellows-type cylindrical boot on the surface part of the piston of a brake booster. CONSTITUTION:The end of an opening jig 4 is inserted into a boot 1, a moving shaft 5 is moved leftward, and an end opening ring 7 which is divided in four parts is widely opened by means of a taper 5a, to spread the end part 1a of the boot 1. Then, a boot inserting jig 10 holds the boot 1 and, in this condition, a ring-type boot end part turn-over jig 9 is moved leftward to install the end part 1a on the end part 10a of the inserting jig, in a state of inside-out. And, then, the piston part A of a brake booster is inserted into the boot in the state of inside-out in place of the opening jig 4, and the boot 1 is installed on the piston part A with its end part 1a being turned over. Due to above process, a boot can be installed accurately and rapidly without need for using a man's hand.
