PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent or restrain a stream hammer from being generated when an exhaust heat generation source such as a gas turbine is started up. SOLUTION: In this exhaust heat recovery boiler for heating feed water W fed from a steam drum 31 and flowing in a larger number of evaporator tubes 34 to generate steam, using exhaust heat discharged from the exhaust heat generation source such as the gas turbine, an air lift pump formed by air fed from air feed pipes 40, 41 is provided as a water feeding and circulation means for circulating the feed water W in a system before the exhaust heat generation source is started up.
