<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball 1 superior in both a ball hitting feeling and a carry. <P>SOLUTION: Mass of the golf ball 1 is≥41.0 g and≤44.5 g. The golf ball 1 is provided with a multiplicity of dimples on its surface. A surface area occupation ratio Y of the dimples is≥0.80 and≤0.90. An average occupation ratio (y) that is a value of dividing the surface area occupation ratio Y by a total number of the dimples is≥0.00220. A sum total X of outline lengths (x) of the dimples and the surface area occupation ratio Y satisfy a relationship of a mathematical expression I of X≤3882×Y+1495.
