PURPOSE: A distributed control optical fiber is provided to reduce the nonlinear effect by having a large effective cross section. CONSTITUTION: A distributed control optical fiber(100) includes a central core(110), an external core(120), a fine refractive index deterioration region(130) and a cladding(140). The central core(110) is made of silica and has a diameter of a. And, the central core(110) is doped with a predetermined amount of germanium for adjusting the refractive index and has a refractive index of N1. The external core(120) has an inner diameter of a and outer diameter of b and has a refractive index N1 at the inner diameter and a refractive index of N2 at the outer diameter. The fine refractive index deterioration region(130) is made of a silica and has an inner diameter of b and outer diameter of c. And, the fine refractive index deterioration region(130) is doped with a germanium, phosphor or fluoride by a predetermined ratio and has a refractive index N3. A cladding(140) is made of silica and has an inner diameter of c and an outer diameter of d. And, the cladding(140) has a refractive index of N0 being between the N2 and N3.
