PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device having a high reliability, a large screen and a high precision pixel part. SOLUTION: An axillary electrode 21 made of a metal film is provided on an insulation 24 provided between pixel electrodes so as to reduce resistance and a thickness of a conductive layer 20 made of a transparent conductive film contacting the axillary electrode. The axillary electrode 21 is connected to an electrode at a lower layer so as to allow a transparent conductive film provided on the EL layer to be drawn out. A film containing hydrogen and a silicon nitride film are laminated so as to form a protective film 32 for high reliability. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
