PURPOSE: A method for trading and renting an item on the online is provided to stably trade and rent the item in an online game through a transaction with a game maker, and to give an opportunity to use the item cheaply through the transaction or the rent. CONSTITUTION: The user information registered in a trade/rent server is transmitted to a providing server(13). The providing server extracts the information matched with the user information(14). The extracted information is transmitted to the trade/rent server. The providing server transmits an item list for trade or rent to the trade/rent server(15). The trade/rent server transmits the information to a user. The user transmits the desired item to the trade/rent server. The trade/rent server transmits the information to the providing server. A user information database or an other user information database is modified by using the information(19-1,19-2,19-3,19-4).
