PURPOSE: A method for automatically setting an IP(Internet Protocol) address in a mobile communication system is provided to automatically set the IP address, using an IP address look-up table. CONSTITUTION: If a power is supplied to a board(ST11), a CPU in the board performs the chip initialization of the board and an itself test(ST12). The CPU reads each block ID and slot ID of the board(ST13). The CPU retrieves a corresponding IP address stored in a corresponding ID address of an IP address look-up table(ST14). The CPU sets the retrieved IP address(ST15). The CPU performs a TCP/IP(Transmission Control Protocol/IP) communication(ST16).
