<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling a motor which prevents a movable unit of the motor or an element to be driven, driven by the motor from passing a target stop position from a reverse direction again irrespective of the microscopic return of the motor, and to provide a motor control device. <P>SOLUTION: An edge detector 15 of an ASIC 3 detects a passage timing signal displaying timing for passing a photoelectric element and a photodetecting element of a photointerrupter via a slit of a slit plate and the rotational direction of a conveying roller based on an A-phase signal and a B-phase signal from an encoder 56. A position counter 16 counts the passage timing signal according to the rotational direction of the roller. When a count comparator 17 detects the coincidence of a counted value of the counter 16 with a set value of a stop position set register 12, a stop position processing unit 22 counts a delay time, and outputs a stop command signal of an LF motor to a PWM generator 8 at timing coincident with the set value of a time set register 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
