PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience and reliability of an information retrieval system using the Internet by enabling a user to easily search for intended information. SOLUTION: In extracting link information to Web page hit by retrieval based on a concerned keyword according to a keyword retrieval request from a browser of a user terminal device 4 and transmitting the same to a concerned browser, a retrieval site server device 2 obtains the degree of popularity of each Web page according to access history (log information) to each Web page supplied from server devices 3a to 3d of a provider, for example, according to the frequency of access, sorts the link information to each Web page in the order of decreasing the popularity, and transmit the same to a browser of the user terminal device 4, whereby the link information can be displayed on the browser of the user terminal device 4 in the order of decreasing the popularity.
