PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce inconvenience that e-mail can not be distributed by frequently confirming a contact address, i.e., the e-mail address of the transmission target without any need of customer's involvement and securing its consistency with an e-mail address managed by the customer. SOLUTION: This e-mail address confirmation system is provided with: a first database with the e-mail address of the server of the customer and the e-mail address of the customer recorded therein; a first server for inquiring the existence of the e-mail address of the customer recorded in the first database and presenting the results; a second database with the customer himself/herself the e-mail address recorded therein and owned by the customer himself/herself; and a second server for answering the existence/absence of the e-mail address in response to an inquiry from a managing server, and confirms the existence of the e-mail address by periodically collating the contents of the first and second databases with each other.
