PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a photographer to confirm whether or not a photographed picture is well focused without missing a shutter chance. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus acquires a plurality of image data Sk by a series of photographing processes such as consecutive shots and a storage means 2 stores the data. A liquid crystal monitor 3 sequentially displays a plurality of the image data Sk, and an area of a prescribed range is extracted. A magnification means 5 magnifies area image data SR corresponding to the extracted area of the prescribed range to obtain magnified image data SL. A display control means 6 allows the liquid crystal monitor 3 to sequentially display the magnified image data SL.
