PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric apparatus provided with a sound recording function capable of recording sound at an optimum microphone sensitivity in response to a sound recording state. SOLUTION: A user turns a mode dial to select any of a plurality of modes, and each mode is set to have different microphone sensitivity setting values. For example, since it is considered that the frequency of recording sound produced by a photographer is high in an after-photographing recording mode and a voice memo mode, the microphone sensitivity value is selected smaller. Further, in a conference mode, since it is required to pick up and record sound of a wide range, the microphone sensitivity value is selected higher. A value considered to be most proper to each operation mode is preset to the microphone sensitivity value and stored in a flash ROM 15 so as to obtain the optimum microphone sensitivity to each operation mode.
