<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contents filtering method in which the number of users handleable for a filtering apparatus is expanded and the contents acquisition waiting time of every user is shortened. <P>SOLUTION: An authentication part 1 authenticates a user and specifies a group to which the user belongs and when the approval of authentication is reported to a user terminal 11, the user terminal 11 sends a contents acquisition request packet to a gateway part 2. Then, the gateway part 2 applies a second user ID of the group to which the user belongs to the packet, a filtering part 2 identifies the second user ID applied to the packet and judges the permission of contents acquisition by applying filtering conditions, the packet is transferred to a contents distribution server 1.
