PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information communication apparatus capable of continuing the operation of a main body of the information communication apparatus even on the occurrence of a fault in an operation display section freely removable from the main body. SOLUTION: In the information communication apparatus wherein after processing object information received from a communication line 11 or an image reader 17 is not processed or subjected to requested processing, the information is stored once in an image storage device 18 even in the case of a processing request to output the image to a printer 16 or the communication line 11, a display apparatus 22 in the operation display section 20 freely removable from the main body 10 displays the image and the processing of the processing object information is selected on the basis of instruction information from a user by using an operation key 23, on the occurrence of an unavailable state of the operation display section 20 such as a deficient residual capacity of a battery 25 built in the operation display section 20 or movement of the operation display section 20 to outside of the communication zone, the main body 10 is switched to an operation not entirely using the main body 20, and the image is outputted to the printer 16 or the communication line 11 in response to the processing request without displaying the received processing object information on the display apparatus 20.
