PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a focal-plane shutter for a camera constituted so that abrasion powder entering a blade chamber or produced in the blade chamber is prevented from flying to an image pickup plane than usual. SOLUTION: Many through-holes 1n and 3b are formed in areas surrounding aperture parts 1a and 3a for a subject optical path on a shutter bottom board 1 and an auxiliary bottom board 3. An adhesive sheet 4 and an auxiliary board 5 are attached to the bottom board 1 by a machine screw 6, and the adhesive surface of the sheet 4 is exposed from many through-holes 1n to the inside of the blade chamber. Meanwhile, an adhesive sheet 7 and an auxiliary board 8 are attached to the bottom board 3 by a machine screw 9, and the adhesive surface of the sheet 7 is exposed from many through-holes 3b to the inside of the blade chamber. Therefore, the abrasion powder entering the blade chamber or produced in the blade chamber is mostly caught by the sheets 4 and 7, so that the amount of the abrasion powder flying to the image pickup plane at the rear of the aperture part 3a of the bottom board 3 is restrained.
