PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an epoxy resin composition for molding precision components showing an excellent moldability and dimensional stability, and a precision component showing an excellent dimensional stability. SOLUTION: The epoxy resin composition contains an epoxy resin, a hardener, a filler and a specific curing accelerator, wherein the content of the filler is≥80 wt.% in the total weight of the composition. By using this composition, precision components showing an excellent dimensional stability or connecting components for optical fibers showing a small joint loss can be provided.
