The procedure for the erecting of a tower from prefabricated elements entails lifting and mounting at least a part of the elements (3,5) by an assembly unit (4) progressively movable on the tower. The assembly unit is moved by a walking support which is symmetrical to the center axis of the already mounted elements. The assembly unit is moved by vertically movable arms (19) connected via mounting elements (21) to the prefabricated elements. An Independent claim is included for a device for the erecting of towers from prefabricated elements using an assembly unit with a walking support.
