<p>High energy gas scrubber Device comprises a vertical housing with a feed line for loaded gas, terminating downwards in the funnel section of a venturi fitted in the housing at a distance from the feedline. The upper part of the funnel forms an overflow plate in conjunction with an annular trough -shaped body making an overflow for liquid distribution. Liquid is supplied to the overflow; the device also has a venturi neck section extending downwards from the funnel section, and a diffusion section extending downwards and terminating above a collection station for liquid, forming the bottom part of the housing. Fitted vertically at a distance from each other and horizontally mounted, perforated separators are attached to the housing above the bottom part of the diffusion section and next to it in the housing, and movable contact elements of low density are fitted inside a section for removing mist between the separators, and an outlet for purified gas above the mist-elimination section. A device is provided for removing liquid from the collecting section. Specifically, the low density elements are spheres with apparent volume density below approc. 0.234 g/cm3, which take up a static bed volume less than 50% of the total volume of the section for removing mist.</p> |
