<p>The spiral chute consists of at least one slide (2) round a central well (4) with a vertical axis (Z). Each slide has a constant pitch and is also inclined transversely towards the central well, so that a product released at the top of the chute with sufficient speed for centrifugal force to keep it on the slide moves towards the central well if the centrifugal force drops to zero or below a critical value. The feeder (6) delivering the product to the chute discharges it at a quasi tangent to the slide and at the required speed.</p> |
