PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for converting a stirred tank reactor to a fixed bed catalytic reactor. SOLUTION: This invention relates to particularly a monolith catalytic reactor in the stirred tank reactor. The stirred tank reactor includes the fixed bed catalytic reactor. Then, the apparatus comprises: a housing having an open top and open bottom portion supportably maintained with the tank; a fixed bed catalyst supportably retained within the housing permitting liquid, gas or both flow therethrough; and an agitator shaft connected to a turbine blade.
