The invention relates to a magnetic separator for separating non-ferromagnetic metal particles from heterogeneous mixtures, having the rotating assembly of alternating polarity PMs which, in order to separate the non-ferromagnetic metal particles depending on the value of the electric conductivity to the particle mass density ratio - sigma/ro, comprises a PM disk (4) made up of NdFeB, rotated by a variable speed motor (1), a box (6) mounted above the disk (4) allowing the particle mixture supplied through a channel (7) at the upper part to move above the active area (x) of the separator, along some channels (8 and 9) thereof, where four spill parts (14) with angle profile are placed to retain the diamagnetic particles (a) and discharge them into a collector (11), the paramagnetic particles (b), less levitated, passing under the spill parts (14) and this way being collected at the outles of the channels (8 and 9) into one collector (10), the motion of the particles through the separator being accomplished as a consequence of the inclination of the disk (4) - box (6) assembly obtained by means of a screw and nut system (3).
