PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quick side pin which is attachable/detachable without needing a tool so as not to fall off and which is designed to facilitate work for loading/unloading a pad by a simple operation. SOLUTION: The pad-loading side pin is installed on the side wall 1 of the upper die. On the side wall 1, a tubular holder 4 is fastened for inserting and holding the side pin 3 so as to make it slidable in the axial direction, with one end of the holder projecting outward from the side wall 1. On the outer circumferential surface of the side pin 3, recessed grooves 6a, 6b are provided at each position for inserting and withdrawing of the side pin 3. Then, at one end of the holder 4, a ball lock means 7 is installed to lock the movement of the side pin 3 in the axial direction at each of the inserting and withdrawing positions by engaging a ball 8 with the recessed grooves 6a, 6b.
