THE BARBEQUE STONE

The Barbeque Stone is a replacement for lava rock. It consists of four stone s know as the left stone, right stone and two center stones. They are placed inside the barbeque on the bottom grill where the lava rock is normally placed. The stones are placed on the grill, centered to the front and back of the barbeque. This wi ll leave a gap between the front of the stone and the front wall of the barbeque and al so a gap between the back of the stone and the back wall of the barbeque. The number of barbeque stones that are placed on the grill depends on the size of the barbeque. The stones act as a heat convector as well as a protective shield for the burner from dripping juices and fat. After the barbeque is lit, the stones get hot and t he heat dissipates from the stones to the top of the barbeque. The hot air then travels in a circular motion around the stones through the gaps in the front and back The stones are designed thicker in size on the front of the stone and thinner at the ba ck of the stone so that the excess juice and fat will run to the back of the stone and fall to the bottom of the barbeque away from the burner and out the drain hole in the bottom of the barbeque.
