A first segment is assembled of a frame (1,2, 3) with four legs (6, 7) and a padded panel (5) to be used as a head positioning area when the device is used as a bed and to be swiveled into a vertical position when serving as a backrest. A central part (8) can be moved on rollers (24) towards the back panel (1) of the first segment and the third part (10) can be lifted (12) to be used as the leg support in a bed or lowered in order to be hidden underneath the sofa or chair. The obvious impression of the sofa as a convertible item is avoided by a space provided between the lower edge of the device and the floor. |
