PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the interference state between models constituting an assembly at high speed. SOLUTION: This device includes the functions of an input section 11, an input data reading section 12, a shape memory section 13, a model boundary interference determination section 14, a face boundary interference determination section 15, a polygonal boundary interference determination section 16 and a shape indication section 17 to detect the interference state between the models constituting a three dimensional assembly, which is expressed by polygonal meshes. The device has a model boundary box information table in which the boundary box information on three dimensional space for each model constituting the assembly. In this device, if there is a possibility to determine the existence of a possibility that the models interfere with each other in the relation of a boundary box in each model during assembly, detail check, which costs much in subsequent calculation, is omitted to obtain the combination of models which may not interfere with each other at a high speed.
