PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive, miniaturized and lightweight waveguide type filter in which a configuration or a form is not complicated, packaging into a signal processing circuit on a substrate is facilitated and an insertion loss is reduced. SOLUTION: The waveguide type filter has a structure where a plurality of waveguide type resonators are connected, each resonator has a coupling part for electromagnetically coupling the resonators, a resonator for inputting or outputting a signal has an input/output electrode constitutive portion over a bottom face and one lateral side linked to the bottom face, the input/output electrode constitutive portion is composed of an input/output electrode and an insulation part, and almost all the surface of the resonator except the coupling part and the input/output electrode constitutive portion is covered with a ground electrode. In such a waveguide type filter, a shield part having a conductor part for covering the input/output electrode constitutive portion is formed on the one lateral side of the resonator having said input/output electrode constitutive portion.
