<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a panel part being an incoming call light emitting part shine more brightly by effectively utilizing light from a light emitting diode in a portable telephone set. <P>SOLUTION: This portable telephone set has a portable telephone set main body assembly 31, a key top assembly 32, and a case assembly 36 housing the portable telephone set main body assembly and the key top assembly and provided with an incoming call light emitting part 160. The incoming call light emitting part 160 comprises a light emitting diode 163 and a panel member 161. The panel part 161 comprises a panel part 161a and a plate-shaped light transmission plate part 161b projecting more to the inner side from the panel part 161a, the light transmission plate part 161b comes into the case assembly through an opening 162 of the case assembly, the panel part 161a is fitted into the opening 162 and fixed, and the light transmission plate part 161b faces the light emitting diode 163 attached to a telephone set main body assembly.
