PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk loading mechanism capable of carrying a disk without causing a flaw on a face of the disk. SOLUTION: The disk loading mechanism comprises: a stage unit 2 moved along a chassis 1; a couple of disk holders 3 moved in parallel along the stage unit to support the outer circumference of the disk; a means for moving the stage unit to bring the disk supported by a couple of the disk holders to a position of a turntable 9; a means for moving the stage unit 2 to mount the disk arrived at the position of the turntable 9 onto the turntable; and a means for releasing the support of the disk by a couple of the disk holders 3 when the mount of the disk on the turntable is finished.
