PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sanitary washing device capable of maintaining an adequate temperature of washing water at the washing start time. SOLUTION: Pre-operation of washing is performed in response to the instruction by a switch 401 for taking a seat. In the pre-operation of washing, the washing water is heated by a heat exchanger 11, and the pump 13 does not perform a stationary operation, and washing water from the heat exchanger 11 is discharged from a nozzle 1 at the tail. Thereafter, washing operation is carried out in response to the instruction by a remote operation unit 300. In the cleaning operation, the washing water is heated by the heat exchanger and the pump 13 performs a steady state operation and the washing water from the heat exchanger 11 is pressured by the pump 13 and discharged from the nozzle 1 at the tail.
