PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly and automatically retain an action for positioning a transferring/receiving position of a baggage with a slide fork at the center of gravity position in good balance even for a plurality of kinds of baggages having different sizes and lengths. SOLUTION: In the automatic warehouse having a stacker crane, a positioning stopper for stopping the baggage conveyed so as to transfer the baggage to the slide fork positioned at a base position for transferring/receiving the baggage and determining the position; a hydraulic cylinder for changing and setting the position in a baggage conveying direction; and a length-measuring sensor for detecting a whole length of the conveyed baggage are provided at a taking in/out part of the baggage. A control device is provided for adjusting/controlling the position of the positioning stopper by operating the hydraulic cylinder based on a length information of the baggage detected by the length-measuring sensor so as to make a center of the slide fork and a center of the baggage coincident.
