PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective body which is easily attached even in a situation where large fracture strength is suddenly applied, and also to provide a protective device using it. SOLUTION: The protective device 100 is provided with: a holder 110 holding a roll of the protective body 10 provided with protective blocks 11 comprising ceramics or the like having high strength and a protective sheet 12 comprising a sheet like fiber reinforced composite material or the like having flexibility and high strength and a plurality of the protective blocks 11 provided along a plane; and an expanding device 120 two-dimensionally spreading the protective body 10 held in the holder 110.
