<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing ammonia enabling to prevent a catalyst from being poisoned in a reactor filled with a ruthenium-based catalyst for synthesizing ammonia, reduce the filling quantity of the catalyst and give a very high economy, its apparatus, and a flue gas denitrification using the resulting ammonia. <P>SOLUTION: Nitrogen gas obtained by air separation and hydrogen gas generated by electrolysis of water are mixed, and the mixed gas is refined by introducing it into an oxidizing reactor 5 filled with an oxidizing catalyst for removing a trace amount of oxygen to an allowed value and then into absorbers 6A, 6B for removing a trace amount of moisture to an allowed value. The refined mixed gas is heated to a reaction temperature and introduced into a reactor 8 filled with a ruthenium-based catalyst for synthesizing ammonia. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
