A method and apparatus that provides a flashing member configured to reduce moisture intrusion in an upper portion of a wall proximate a vent in an eave portion of a building structure. The flashing member includes a upper portion and a lower portion, the upper portion extending to the lower portion. The upper portion is formed and configured to be positioned adjacent a portion of a roof structure above the eave portion so as maintain air circulation through the vent into the roof structure. The lower portion is formed and configured to be positioned against the wall of the building structure and configured to extend below the vent. In this manner, the lower portion and the upper portion act in conjunction to facilitate reduction of moisture intrusion into the upper portion of the wall in the building structure.
