<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that insignificant printing may be effected when a reset switch is operated. <P>SOLUTION: Print job data constituting a print job is received from a connected host computer and stored in a receiving buffer 23a (specified storage area), print data for performing printing is generated by interpreting a command in the print job data and then printing is performed on a print medium. Further, cancel status information is generated upon receiving cancel request of print job data and when the cancel status information is generated, printing up to the end point of the print job data being stored in the receiving buffer 23a is stopped.
