CATALYTIC CONVERTER SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalytic converter system capable of attaining excellent erosion resistance even if the strength of catalyst support is degraded by thinning the wall of the catalyst support.

SOLUTION: This catalytic converter system 1 includes a catalytic converter 5 for purifying exhaust gas discharged from a heat engine and an exhaust pipe 2 for introducing the exhaust gas into the catalytic converter. The catalytic converter 5 has the catalyst support 52 and a can body 56 surrounding the catalyst support 52 and communicating with the exhaust pipe 2. The catalytic converter system 1 also has an open catalytic converter side end portion of the exhaust pipe 2.
