<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curl correcting device of discharged paper in an image forming device capable of correcting a curled state of recording paper without causing harmful effect by a simple method. <P>SOLUTION: The curl correcting device comprises a switch back roller 101 for guiding the discharged paper P having the curled state discharged from a fixing device 23 in the opposite direction to a delivery tray, and a detecting means for detecting the curled state of the recording paper guided in the opposite direction by the switch back roller. The curl correcting device also comprises a triple conveying roller group 103 having a first roller 103a and a second roller 103b for guiding the recording paper discharged from the fixing device to the switch back roller through a nip part and a third roller 103c for guiding the recording paper guided to the switch back roller to the delivery tray through a nip part between it and the second roller. The curl correcting device changes a set pressure distribution in a nip part between the second roller and the third roller based on the curled state of the recording paper detected by the detecting means, passes the discharged paper through the nip part, and corrects the individual curled state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
