<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photosensitive composition for a color filter, which has high sensitivity, demonstrates hardening property with high cross-linking density, is free from color mixing, forms a precise pattern with high resolution, has heat resistance so as not to damage color filter's properties (a shape, hue or the like), is excellent in the hue, transmittance and has an excellent yield and a color filter using the composition. <P>SOLUTION: The photosensitive composition for the color filter is characterized in that it contains a photocross-linking polymer compound with at least a photodimerizable maleimide group in a side chain and a pigment.
