PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging system capable of performing an adjusting process step for making it possible to calculate an infinite focusing position from the output of a position sensor in a narrow set area without increasing the scale of a facility requiring such adjusting process step. SOLUTION: Difference detecting means detects a differenceαbetween a sensor position where the position sensor is disposed and a finite focusing position when a focus adjust member focuses on a subject present at a finite distance. Memory means stores the detected differenceα. The finite distance refers to a distance at which the focusing position of the focus adjust member focusing on the subject present at the finite distance exists on the side of the shorter distance than the infinite focusing position. Means for calculating the infinite focusing position calculates the infinite focusing position with respect to the sensor position in accordance with the differenceβbetween the finite focusing position and finite focusing position previously obtainable by designing and the differenceα.
