PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide bearing having high allowable sliding speed and allowable surface pressure, obtaining a stable sliding state to were of the bearing, and being easily molded under an air atmosphere, and also to provide a pump device provided with the slide bearing. SOLUTION: In a slide bearing device used for a rotating machine, a bearing portion of the bearing device is made from composite material of carbon fibers 1 and a resin 2, and the carbon fibers 1 are distributed in a lattice shape on a cross section vertical to a shaft core of the bearing portion.
